Fit control
As the horse and saddle change over time, you should check their saddle at least every 2 years.
Here's how it works out:
1 visual inspection:
Does the saddle fit the horse?
Is the gullet set correctly?
Is the saddle in the center of gravity?
Is the filling wool evenly distributed?
Does the trapezius muscle have enough freedom?
Is the pillow channel wide enough?
Is not the saddle too long?
2. Testing with the impression pad.
Here the rider has to ride 10-15 minutes.
On the basis of the impression one can the pressure distribution
recognize the saddle.
